When I read this poem before your presentation I immediately understood the connection with your author and your book. Both the author and the poet seem to criticize the aesthetic movement. One thing I didn't notice until I read your analysis of this poem and heard your presentation was how the structure of the poem helps create even deeper meaning. It barely even crossed my mind that this poem was a sonnet and once your essay pointed this out and explained some details I understood the depth of the poem a lot more.
Traditionally, the tone shifts at the "turn", or the 8th line. In this poem, the tone shifts from an accusatory one to a more positive one as the poet begins to describe less superficial things that bring him joy. It was very helpful that you pointed out that the tone shift was aided by Wordsworth's change in rhyme scheme and use of allusions to Greek mythology.
